What is XML data?

XML is a sign language used for standardization. It is designed to standardize the communication of data between platforms and systems that use or exchange data over the Internet. XML is read as English eXtensible Markum Language.

Although Net technology is thought to be a Microsoft-based technology due to its release date close to its release date, XML technology has been made available as a data communication standard designed by the W3C (World Wide Web Consortium).

Why is XML important?
